Rachel A. Nichols
Vice President for Enrollment Management
Rachel was born in Savannah, GA. She graduated from Calvary Day School in Savannah, GA. She is a third generation Lenoir-Rhyne student, receiving her BA (Cum Laude) from L-R in 1990. She received her Master's Degree in Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne in 1996.
Since graduation, Rachel has served Lenoir-Rhyne in several capacities. She started as an admissions counselor in 1990. She has since served as Assistant Director of Admissions, Associate Director of Admissions, Interim Director of Financial Aid, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, and Dean of Admissions of Financial Aid. She became Vice President for Enrollment, overseeing Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Success and Retention, and Marketing, in 2006. In 2011 she assumed leadership for Academic Records, and the newly created Enrollment Service Center
Rachel lives in Hickory, with her husband Rick who serves as Director of Human Resources at Lenoir-Rhyne. They have two son, Benjamin and Alex. Rachel is a lifelong Lutheran and is an member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She has served the church in many roles, including president of the church council.
