Fanny Courbot

Fanny Courbot joined Lenoir-Rhyne in fall 2024 as a graduate assistant for the men’s and women’s swim team. In her role, she helps develop and mold the next generation of swimmers at the university. In addition, she assists in coordinating the swim team’s scheduling, recruiting and travel plans throughout the season.
At Lees-McRae, Courbot broke numerous records in the 50, 100 and 200 breaststroke and was recognized as Swimmer of the Week several times in her three seasons with the Bobcats. Outside the pool, Courbot earned a cumulative GPA of 3.8 and was announced as a 2022-2023 recipient of the academic achievement award. Courbot also was selected by Lees-McRae business professors to win the business academic award in recognition of her hard work and dedication toward the program. During the 2022 season, Courbot won the CATSPY award, which honors Lees-McRae student-athletes who possess the dedicated commitment to their sport and team, adding value in and out of the classroom.
Prior to Lees-McRae, Courbot was a student-athlete at Barton Community College in Great Bend, Kansas. Courbot set school records for the Barton swim program in the 50, 100 and 200 breaststrokes.
Courbot will complete her master’s degree in business administration from LR in spring 2026. She is originally from Lyon, France and now resides in Hickory, NC with her husky, Volt.
