Jon Hicks
Jon Hicks is a security officer at Lenoir-Rhyne since March 2021. In his role, he strives to make the campus a safe place to live and work for faculty, staff, students and visitors. He is also responsible for maintaining the security of campus buildings, facilities, parking lots, walkways and grounds of the institution.
Hicks retired from the Granite Falls Police Department in September 2020, after serving there for 13 years. He also served as a patrol sergeant, school resource officer and D.A.R.E. officer. Hicks started n law enforcement in 1989 with the Town of Hudson, North Carolina, and then moved to Catawba Valley Medical Center as a company police officer, where Hicks held the rank of lieutenant. He retired with 30 years of service.
