Justina Floyd is a Board Certified and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with licensure across North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Tennessee. She serves as a Qualified Supervisor (QS) in North Carolina and is currently an EMDRIA Consultant in Training.
As a third-year doctoral candidate at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Floyd is engaged in advancing research and practice in clinical supervision. Her research and clinical interests are further concentrated in trauma, with a particular emphasis on Complex PTSD (C-PTSD). Floyd adopts a humanistic collaborative and integrative approach to therapy, focusing on facilitating clients' reconnection with their authentic selves and optimizing their personal growth. Her work is dedicated to supporting gender-diverse individuals, women and non-traditional couples in exploring and affirming their identities outside conventional societal frameworks. Her methodological expertise includes advanced therapeutic techniques such as EMDR and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy.
She is MAPS and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy trained, EMDRIA certified and has pursued specialized training in perinatal trauma and early childhood trauma in adults. Her scholarly work and clinical expertise are integral to her mission of fostering effective and compassionate therapeutic interventions and clinical supervision for counselors in training.
