Nathan Shackelford

• B.A., Exercise Science, Lenoir-Rhyne University

Nathan Shackelford joined Lenoir-Rhyne in 2024 as a graduate assistant for the Fritz Honors College. In this role, Shackelford collaborates with honors college students, professors and the dean of the Fritz Honors College, to lead transformative change within the program.

Shackelford has previous experience in the Solmaz Institute, which addresses the epidemic of child and adolescent obesity by providing nutrition education, counseling and fitness coaching to children and adolescents who are overweight or obese. He is also currently an intern for the athletic training room, working with the rehabilitation and injury prevention of student-athletes on campus.

Shackelford is currently pursing an M.A. in Exercise Science.
