Robbie Owens joined Lenoir-Rhyne in 2024 as an assistant football coach and defensive coordinator.

Prior to joining LR, Owens was a defensive coordinator at Keiser University, helping lead the team to win the 2023 NAIA Football National Championship. He has 28 years of experience including 15 as a high school head coach and 13 as a college defensive coordinator.

Throughout his career, Owens has held coaching positions at Colorado Mesa University, Grand Junction High School, Coconut Creek High School and Helix Charter High School. He has coached in seven straight championship games between 2016-2023.

Owens is married with two sons.
