Tammy Yount joined Lenoir-Rhyne in August 2024 as administrative assistant for the Registrar’s Office.

Yount is a retired public educator of 23 years with the Catawba County School System, where she was employed as a school library media coordinator. During this time, Yount worked at Webb Murray Elementary School, Arndt Middle School and Maiden Elementary School. Yount was also a fourth-grade teacher at Maiden Elementary School for two years after graduating from college.

Throughout her career as a school library media coordinator, Yount managed her school’s print and digital collection, provided technical support to students and staff and taught lessons on literacy and digital citizenship.

When not working, Yount enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking and being outdoors.
