Walter Kennedy

Walter Kennedy is the coordinator of student engagement within the Office of Student Life. In this role, he is in charge of fraternity and sorority life, intramural sports and large scale events including Homecoming, Welcome Weekend, and Family Weekend. He previously held the role of fraternity and sorority life area coordinator where he coordinated fraternity and sorority life programming and maintained designated on-campus residential spaces.

Prior to joining LR in July 2023, Kennedy found his passion for mentoring young Black men on college campuses. He helped establish the Morgan Male Initiative on Leadership and Excellence (MILE) and the Black Male Collaborative, designed to bring together Black male initiatives at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and predominately white institutions (PWI). Kennedy also served as the on-campus advisor and a proud Alpha Nu Omega Fraternity, Inc. member.

Outside of higher education, Kennedy is a praise and worship leader and serves on International Committees for Alpha Nu Omega Fraternity, Inc.
