Campus Safety
Campus safety and wellbeing is a community priority and responsibility.
Safety on campus is coordinated by the Office of Public Safety, which is located in the Public Safety House (red brick house located at 715 6th Street NE). The office provides the following services to the university community.
- Assist members of the university community in emergency situations while making every effort to provide for their safety
- Protect LR property and enforces all university traffic rules and regulations
- Strive to make the campus a safe place to live and work
- Conduct foot and vehicular patrols of the campus community 24 hours per day, seven days per week
Members of the campus community should always be mindful of your safety and that of others while on- or off-campus and immediately report any suspicious persons or activities to public safety.
Local law enforcement agencies regularly patrol the adjacent streets, visit campus and provide assistance as needed.
