Exercise Science Minor
Learn to apply scientific principles to increase the health of individuals and improve their quality of life.
Similar to kinesiology, exercise science uses scientific principles to understand how to increase the health and performance of individuals.
Through our minor, you will gain a broad understanding of human anatomy and physiology and learn how exercise affects both healthy individuals and those struggling with health conditions. You will learn biomechanics as well as exercise evaluation and prescription.
Through laboratory work and an internship in a clinical setting, you will be able to apply what you’ve learned to real-world situations.
Upon completion of the minor, you may be able to seek certification by the American College of Sports Medicine.
