Music Education Minor

Perhaps you studied music in high school and want to continue to exercise your talents or want to balance your demanding major with a creative outlet. Our coursework allows you to hone your skills as it focuses on the important fundamentals of music.
A minor in Music Education is open ony to Music majors and requires 20-22 hours consisting of the following:

- MUS 151 - Music Ensembles
- * MUS 151X Marching Band - must earn at least 2 hours
Vocalist Track (9 hours)- MUS 214 - Vocal Techniques
- MUS 420 - Choral Conducting and Literature
- MUS 423 - Choral Music Methods
- MUS 151 - Music Ensembles
- * A total of 3 hours of secondary choral ensembles (other than A Cappella Choir) is required.
