Qualified management students interested in continuing their education through graduate study can easily matriculate into the Master of Business Administration program.

Learning Outside the Classroom
Students studying management have many opportunities to learn outside of the classroom through internships with local and regional businesses, corporations and non-profit organizations.
You will gain firsthand experience working alongside experienced leaders and professionals in a wide range of management activities. Management majors have access to the many out-of-class opportunities in business, including conference attendance, student organizations, study abroad, alumni mentoring and community outreach and research (working within a course or independently with a faculty mentor).

Career Opportunities
Management is an essential skill in any business or other organizational setting. Accordingly, the career opportunities for management majors are extensive. The major also provides excellent preparation for more advanced graduate work or other certificate and/or licensure programs.
As a management major, you learn about organizational structures and behavior, formal and informal, which prepares you to address the many issues that may arise in corporate or other organizational settings.
Examples of career options include, but are not limited to, operations management, organizational analysis and consulting and project management—across private, non-profit and public arenas at all levels of life.

Lenoir-Rhyne is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. The B.A. in Management is also accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
Major Requirements
The Management major is designed for students interested in career-long leadership and for advancement in a management career. The degree prepares students to be effective decision-makers in dynamic business environments and, as such, students will be prepared to innovate, adapt, and lead change. Students are given background courses in all areas of business as well as expertise in specific management fields like Production and Operations, Management, Human Resources Management or Change Management. The Management major also prepares students for entry into an MBA degree and other graduate degrees in business. The major earns a B.A. degree.
Transfer Policy
A student may transfer in the following:
- the common Business core courses except for BUS 450 - Business Policy and no more than 6 credit hours from BUS 320, BUS 340, BUS 344, BUS 360, and BUS 370.
- no more than 6 credit hours from the required major courses.
Honors
Students in the College of Business & Economics may elect to pursue honors work. To be eligible for honors, students must:
- have a 3.2 cumulative GPA;
- have a 3.5 GPA in the major; and
- have completed ACC 231 and BUS 300, BUS 340, BUS 360 and CSC 175 or have been invited to apply by the faculty of the College of Business & Economics;
- have successfully complete BUS 320 and BUS 344 as honors courses;
- have successfully complete BUS 499 concurrently with BUS 450, which includes a specific business written analysis report and an oral presentation to the faculty of the College of Business & Economics.
Earning two or more majors in Charles M. Snipes College of Business and Economics
Students seeking two or more majors in the Charles M. Snipes College of Business & Economics must complete 15 hours of unique course work in the Major Requirements section of each major. All required course work for the major must be completed. The unique course work will come from the required courses and elective courses prescribed for the additional major. Some courses may require substitutions approved by the dean.

All bachelor's degree programs at Lenoir-Rhyne require at least 120 credit hours. If, in combination, General Education, technical, and program requirements do not generate at least 120 hours, additional credits must be completed to achieve 120 hours. These classes may be general electives, or a student may complete a minor or additional major.
