Supply Chain Management, B.A.

A degree in supply chain management will provide you with the skills you can use on day one of your first job in the industry, making you a strong candidate immediately after graduation.

Supply chains encompass all the activities from the delivery of the sources of materials to the manufacturer to the delivery to the end consumer.

It’s easier than ever to get almost anything you need delivered to your door, but that means the process of getting it to you is more complex than ever. Everything you buy today goes through a global network of logistics — factories, warehouses, transportation and more. The process of getting a product from where it’s produced to the consumer has grown ever more immense in scale, and supply chain professionals are the people who plan, lead, organize and control these complex interconnected systems.

A bachelor's degree in supply chain management brings together concepts from finance, economics and logistics and provides you with the skills and knowledge to quantitatively forecast inventory needs, build a logistics plan, and integrate operations to meet consumer demands. A supply chain degree will provide you with skills and tools to:

  • Critically assess the costs and logistical requirements of setting up a physical goods supply chain.
  • Use popular methodologies, such as six sigma, and common technologies to make and implement practical operational decisions.
  • Solve real-world supply chain management problems and clearly articulate end-to-end considerations for any proposed solutions.
