Courtney McGahee started her role at Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2023 when she joined the faculty of the Engineering Physics program in the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. She is currently serving as a co-coordinator for the Engineering Physics program and teaches introductory-  and upper-level courses in both physics- and engineering-related topics.

Before coming to Lenoir-Rhyne, McGahee gained nine years of experience teaching undergraduate physics, astronomy and electronics courses at Appalachian State University. Additionally, she served as the program director for the M.S. in Engineering Physics at Appalachian State University from 2019-2021.
