Jeana Borman

Jeana Neal Borman serves as staff accompanist and vocal coach for the music department. In this capacity, she collaborates with students and faculty on vocal and instrumental recitals, is the accompanist for the A Cappella Choir and the College Singers and works in the vocal studio as coach and accompanist.
She has performed professionally at various venues with many organizations and companies. In addition, Borman served as music director/accompanist for the education division of Opera Carolina for 10 seasons.
After serving for many seasons as rehearsal pianist and pit musician for Central Piedmont Community College's summer theatre program, she worked as music director/conductor for CPCC's production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, which was a critical and popular success. In addition, Borman was CPCC music director of The Last Five Years, nominated as Best Musical of 2004 by the Metrolina Theatre Association.
As a working musician, Borman has enjoyed playing the keyboard for the touring Broadway Lights series at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center; recent productions in which she was involved are Hairspray, Mamma Mia and The King and I.
As one of the accompanists for the North Carolina Dance Theatre and the associated School of NCDC, Borman accompanies ballet classes for the professional and highly regarded company and works with the summer intensive ballet school, attracting young dancers worldwide. In addition, she accompanied dance at the Chautauqua School of Ballet in Chautauqua, New York.
Borman has enjoyed working in community venues such as Carolina Voices, the Davidson Community Players, the North Meck Community Chorus, Lake Wylie Community Theatre and various school productions during her professional career. Presently, she serves as music director at Hills Chapel United Methodist Church.
