Larry Waters

Larry Waters works as a part-time public safety officer at Lenoir-Rhyne. He joined the university in 2009 and worked as assistant director of security before retiring from full-time status. His role is to provide support to the director of public safety in all areas of the university campus and provide for the safety and security of all persons, students, staff and visitors, and buildings associated with LR. Waters assists with the supervision of the daily activities of the security force. In addition, he assists in developing training programs for the campus security personnel and provides liaison between campus security and various outside agencies.

Previously, Waters worked at Conover Police Department and retired as a lieutenant.
