Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach
The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach will report to the Head Coach and provide coaching, leadership, management and the administration of a highly competitive NCAA Division II program that provides a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes. The successful candidate will place high priority on academic integrity and a commitment to student-athlete success. This is a 12-month, full-time position.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, organization, and supervision for all practices and contests under the direction of the head coach.
- In conjunction with the head coach, implement and assist with various aspects of recruiting to attract academically and athletically talented prospects—with a commitment to retention, degree completion, and academic success.
- Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, conference and university rules and regulations.
- Attend and participate in athletic department meetings and rules education sessions.
- Encourage an atmosphere of sportsmanship, professionalism, and respect among the athletic staff, coaches and student-athletes.
- Maintain a positive and constructive working relationship with other LR staff (Admission, Academic Affairs, Advancement, Student Life, Multicultural Affairs, etc.)
- Assist with LR Women’s Soccer clinics and camps as assigned by head coaches.
- Assist with marketing and promotion of camps and clinics.
- Other duties as assigned by the head coach and/or athletic administration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced team environment.
- Unwavering commitment to academic integrity, inclusion, diversity, gender equity, and student-athlete welfare.
- Positive attitude and sense of humor.
Other Requirements/Qualifications
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; NCAA compliance background check; successful completion of annual NCAA Division II coaches’ exams; successful completion of first aid, CPR and AED certifications.
