• University Storm Recovery Updates

    UPDATE: Tuesday, Oct. 29, 8:30 a.m.
We are pleased to announce that Wi-Fi service has been restored to the Asheville Center. Current students, faculty, and staff may now access the building for study, work or other necessary activities. Please note there may be occasional short outages as our service provider continues the recovery process.

Drinking water is not available in the building. Some bottled water is available on site, but we encourage anyone using the building to bring their own drinking water if possible. The bathrooms on site now have working toilets.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate the challenges posed by Hurricane Helene. Please stay tuned for further updates.

How to Use TracCloud Scheduling

A TracCloud appointment syncs with your student schedule and allows you to select the class or classes where you need support, directs you to the BEAR Central service that fits your needs and allows you to select the earliest available appointments or specify a date and time of your choosing. The platform also tracks scheduled appointments and sends you reminders via email.

Follow these steps to schedule your tutoring appointment.

  1. Search for available tutors by going to “Schedule an Appointment.”
  2. In “Choose a Date & Center,” select “Find First Available Immediately” or “Choose Date & Center.” Either will take you to a pop-up screen.
  3. Next, choose the course that you would like assistance. Then, press “Search.”
  4. Once the pop-up screen displays, you can choose from “Academic Coaching, General Tutoring, and Writing and Speaking Services.” Then you can choose when you would like the appointment and then search.
  5. If there are available tutors, you will see time slots. Choose the one that works for you. Different options will include “Online, Drop-in, Group or Individual.” Once you choose the time slot, a box will allow you to write specifically what you may want to review with the tutor.
  6. Once completed, click “Confirm,” and you will receive an email with a reminder of when your appointment is scheduled.
  7. If you cannot find an appointment, please click “Report Unable to Find Appointment” and fill out the information. Someone will respond to you within 24 hours.
