Jackie Denny overcame three torn ACLs to star in two sports for the Bears. Denny ranked second in the conference averaging 1.21 blocks a game for LR's volleyball team, while her 56.3 percent shooting from the floor led the women's basketball team.

LR expands half-off tuition program to whole state

The university now offers 50 percent off tuition to any North Carolina resident who is a first-year undergraduate student with a 3.5 or higher high school GPA or to a transfer undergraduate student with more than 30 earned credit hours from an accredited North Carolina community college and a 3.5 GPA.
