Lenoir-Rhyne offers a diverse array of summer camps. Whether your child is passionate about STEM, music or sports, we have enriching experiences tailored to their interests.

Our Kids in College camp offers engaging STEM exploration for elementary and middle schoolers, fostering hands-on learning and 21st-century skills.

The Lenoir-Rhyne Summer Youth Music Camps for middle and high school students offer daily instruction during twice per day full ensembles (band or choir), a small ensemble class and a musicianship class. Day or overnight camp options are offered along with individual music lessons.

Elevate athletic skills at LR's Youth Sports Camps led by expert coaches. From fundamentals to advanced techniques, these camps cater to all skill levels.

Kids in College

Experienced science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) teachers will facilitate learning experiences throughout the week. The program is designed for teacher-recommended students who have an interest in STEM, are interested in how things work and enjoy working with their hands to build things. 

Both elementary and middle grades camps are available and open to students completing kindergarten through grade 4 (elementary) and those completing grades 5-8 (middle grades). Both camps have a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) focus. Students will utilize 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity. 

This program is designed for teacher-recommended students who meet any of the following criteria:

  • Have an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Are interested in how things work and working with their hands to build things.
  • Recommended by their current teacher.

Summer Youth Music Camps


Choir Camp: Monday-Friday, June 17-21, 2024
Band Camp: Monday-Friday, July 8-12, 2024
Costs: $220 day campers; $450 overnight campers

Join Lenoir-Rhyne as we host our 11th annual Summer Youth Music Camps for middle school and high school students. Both camps are housed in the Mauney Music Building, located on the Hickory campus. Day camper costs include instruction, five lunches in the LR dining hall and a camp T-shirt. 

Overnight camper cost includes all of the day camp benefits, as well as overnight accommodation and supervision by camp counseling staff, 14 meals and evening entertainment or social activities.
