Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarships

The Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship, funded by the National Science Foundation, offers a unique opportunity to earn a tuition-free Master of Arts in Teaching degree at Lenoir-Rhyne University.
Our program offers fully asynchronous online coursework, in-person field work and student teaching in your community. It can be completed in as little as 12 months, equipping you to earn your teaching license in a STEM subject and embark on a rewarding career in education.

Eligibility
By joining our program, you gain valuable teaching experience, earn an advanced degree and make a tangible difference in your community. Our first cohort of scholars will begin coursework during the summer 2025 term.
To be eligible for a Noyce Scholarship, you must:
- Be a U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident
- Hold a bachelor's degree in an eligible science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) field with a cumulative 3.0 or better GPA
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Engineering
- Geosciences
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Or related fields
- Commit to teaching in a high-need school district for two years for every year of scholarship
- Demonstrate a passion for education and equity
